These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the MuntOS mobile app for iOS and Android (the "App") and the website at muntos.app (the "Website"), together the "Service". MuntOS shows crowdsourced information about ski slopes, lifts and mountain bike trails at mountain resorts.
The Service is provided by S.C. Astra Invent Tech S.R.L., Str. Albastrelelor nr. 15, birou 2Z, Brașov, 500381, Romania, CUI 52821980, EUID ROONRC.J2025083993005 ("we", "us", "our").
By downloading, accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
You can use MuntOS with a registered account (username and password) or a guest account. If you submit a report without being logged in, a guest account is created for you automatically.
You are responsible for keeping your username and password safe and for all activity under your account. We do not collect email addresses, so we cannot recover your account or reset your password. If you lose your credentials or your device, you may permanently lose access to your account.
Accounts inactive for 2 years are deleted automatically. You can delete your account at any time from inside the App, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Do not use the App while skiing, snowboarding or riding. Stop in a safe place, away from slopes, lifts and trails, before looking at your phone.
Information in MuntOS is submitted by other users. It is not verified by us or by any resort, and it may be incomplete, outdated or wrong. Slope, lift and trail conditions can change quickly, and reports expire at midnight.
MuntOS is not 100% accurate and is not a substitute for official information. You must:
Skiing, snowboarding and mountain biking are inherently risky activities. You take part in them at your own risk. In an emergency, call 112 (EU) or the local emergency number.
You can submit reports about slopes, lifts and trails by choosing from a list of options and, optionally, adding a location. Reports are shown publicly with your display name and profile picture, and they expire at midnight. Other users can "say thank you" for a report.
Your content includes your reports, display name and profile picture. You are responsible for it and confirm that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you have the right to share it.
By submitting content, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display, reproduce and distribute it as part of the Service, including on the Website. This licence continues for reports after you delete your account, in anonymized form, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Profile pictures are reviewed by our team before they are shown. We may reject any picture or display name, or remove any content, at our discretion.
When using the Service, you must not:
Enforcement. If you break these Terms, we may remove your content and delete your account, without prior notice. We decide this at our discretion, taking into account how serious the breach is.
Reporting content. If you see content that breaks these Terms or the law, email us at contact@astrainvent.com with a description and, if possible, a screenshot.
MuntOS is free to use. You can choose to support its development with a yearly supporter purchase.
Nothing in this section limits any rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law.
The Service may show advertisements, such as an image with a link to a local business. Links in advertisements may include a tracking code so the advertiser can see that a visit came from MuntOS.
Advertisers are responsible for their ads and for the products and services they offer. When you follow a link, you leave MuntOS, and the advertiser's website is governed by its own terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for third-party websites.
MuntOS is an independent service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any ski resort, lift operator, bike park or mountain authority. Resort and place names are used only to identify locations and remain the property of their owners.
The App, the Website and their content, including the design, code, the MuntOS name and logo, and the mapped locations of slopes, lifts and trails, are owned by S.C. Astra Invent Tech S.R.L. or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property law.
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for your own non-commercial purposes, in line with these Terms and the rules of the App Store or Google Play.
Map elevation data is provided by OpenTopography. Third-party data remains subject to the terms and licences of its providers.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it at any time, including the resorts covered. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or available at every resort.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any injury, damage or loss resulting from:
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our gross negligence or intent, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law. If you are a consumer, you keep all rights that mandatory consumer law in your country of residence gives you.
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from inside the App. We may delete your account if you break these Terms (see section 4) or if it has been inactive for 2 years.
If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, these Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, and is not responsible for any claims relating to the App. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version in the App and on muntos.app and update the effective date at the top. If the changes are significant, we will notify you in the App. If you continue to use the Service after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by Romanian law. Disputes will be resolved by the competent courts in Brașov, Romania. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of mandatory laws of your country of residence or your right to bring proceedings in the courts there.
Before taking legal action, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue. Consumers in Romania can also contact the National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC) at anpc.ro.
If any part of these Terms is found invalid, the rest remains in effect.
